Raising £1.3m For Charity – Meet Our Permanent Recruiter Danny Moloney

You may recognise him as part of our Permanent Recruitment team.

But there is an aspect of Danny Moloney’s life you may not be familiar with.

He is dedicated to helping good causes, through charity fundraising and events, so far raising over £1.3m for various charities off his own back!

Danny was nominated for a Pride Of Britain Award in 2020.

In 2022, he won the EDP Charity Hero Of The Year and Overall Star Of Norfolk and Waveney.

Danny is an extremely determined and driven individual.

If you are looking for Permanent work, or know someone who is, Danny is your man to help!

Or if your company needs help finding staff, get in touch for Permanent recruitment support.

Danny dedicates a lot of his time to helping children who are bravely battling cancer and also has supported causes such as Help For Heroes and the NHS.

He was a huge support to Norwich toddler Harry Deeba who had been diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma – a form of cancer. He also helped Christina Thomas, a little girl from Norfolk whose brain tumour drugs cost £7,000 a time from Germany.

Speaking in a media article, Christina’s Father Kenny said: “He’s an absolute diamond fella, he’s an amazing human being. A lovely guy and a good friend. A serial-fundraising genius. And he’s got a massive heart and he just wants to keep raising money and he’s made such a difference to so many.”

Danny has organised multiple events from charity balls, pop concerts, music festivals and boxing shows, as well as walking a marathon with just four weeks’ notice.

“I am always being told what I do is impossible,” Danny said.

“However, I have never not hit a target.

“I have never done anything to seek rewards as my biggest reward is for the children I am helping to recover.”

Danny first started his fundraising after being asked to be the compere at the Red Balloon Learner Centre – where he then became a trustee.

He is well known across East Anglia and regularly hosts events in his spare time.

He also takes on the role of auctioneer and MC at various charity events and raised over £49k when organising ‘The Poppy Ball in aid of the Royal British Legion in 2015, 2016 and 2017 – a remarkable achievement.

And if you have been inspired by Danny’s story – please get in touch with him for fundraising ideas, tips and just to speak with him about his wonderful life stories – and dance routines…..

“I am the greatest dancer wherever I go, people just do not seem to realise it,” Danny concluded.
