Contract Personnel donates office furniture to Norfolk and Waveney Mind

Contract Personnel have donated a number of desks and office chairs to help furnish a building run by Norfolk and Waveney Mind.

The charitable donation will help the team in the North Walsham office  – who offer an extensive range of mental health services, along with associated training, advice and information.

The furniture was no longer needed at Contract Personnel and they soon became aware that Norfolk and Waveney Mind could require some help with securing some new office furniture – after a request for support was spotted on LinkedIn.

The post was written by David Mount, Estate and Facilities Assistant at Norfolk and Waveney Mind.

Speaking about the donation, David said : “Norfolk and Waveney Mind have been kindly donated office furniture by Contract Personnel, which will help us furnish one of our buildings by their generosity.

“It is always great to build a new connection and relationship with another local business.

“On behalf of Norfolk and Waveney Mind I would like to thank you for the donation.”

The team at Contract Personnel also plan to check-in with the team and see the office furniture being put to good use – the start of an ongoing partnership.

Up to 84% of people will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime. 1 in 7 people in Norfolk live with depression or anxiety. The charity offers a range of services including 1:1 talking therapies, gardening projects, access to employment services, mental health training and education for businesses, schools and individuals, residential care and support programmes.

Sarah Hooper, Director at Contract Personnel, said: “We recognise the vital role that Norfolk and Waveney Mind have across our community.

“We really wanted to give something back and what better way than some practical items that will furnish one of their offices.

“We hope this donation helps enhance to fantastic work that the charity does.”
