New ‘Give it a Go’ networking launched – Katakanu @ Whitlingham

The popular ‘Give it a Go’ networking events are back – run by Joe Randlesome of Contract Personnel. This time we will be heading on the water to try and sail some Katakanu crafts – at Whitlingham Adventure.

The next event will take place on Tuesday 29^th September from 9.30 – 11.30am (one hour of Katakanu from 10-11).

A Katakanu is a large, twin-hulled watercraft made by joining two canoes together in a catamaran shape and seats up to six people facing forward.

There are 5 crafts available, so 30 people capacity for this event.

The team at Whitlingham Adventure will be providing safety cover, briefing, buoyancy aids and paddles – Katakanu is their most stable and dry craft, but the team would still recommend clothing that you’re happy to get wet…..

The broad is just under a mile long and we can explore as far as you can see – with some races also on the cards….

There are changing facilities and lockers onsite.

Any proceeds made from this event, after costs are paid to Whitlingham, will be going to Norfolk & Waveney Mind – ahead of their Do Blue Campaign – in the weeks leading up to World Mental Health Day, 5th to 10th October.

Whitlingham Adventure is 10 minutes from the city Centre – NR14 8TR.

Pass the Norfolk Snowsports Club on Whitlingham Lane and the LIME AVENUE car park for Whitlingham Adventure is on your left. Follow the footpath and signage from there. Car parking charges are applicable.
