Judging Takes Place Of ‘Quacking’ Duck Race Designs

The winning design has been chosen for this year’s Grand Norwich Duck Race – in aid of Break Charity.

Contract Personnel have sponsored a duck for a number of years and always try to do things a little differently when it comes to the design of the duck.

Last year, Hemblington Primary School got involved with students there ‘designing a duck’ to be judged by our panel of experts. The winning design was eventually chosen as the ‘Quacklear Scientist’ – a creation by Ethan who wanted to be a Nuclear Scientist when growing up.

As this proved so popular, and got lots of children to think in a creative way, we decided to bring back the idea.

This year, The Free School Norwich got involved with children again coming up with some colourful and meaningful designs.

We enlisted the help of our Driving Sector Manager Adam Barker (a keen artist himself) and The Duckorator (Sally Adams) to pick their favourites.

We would like to thank Pivotal Digital Marketing Agency for allowing us to use their board room at the top of The Yard Coffee – in the city centre.

After plenty of deliberating, Sally and Adam managed to narrow the designs down to some ‘highly commended’ entries and an overall winner.

This will be announced at the school assembly on Thursday 8th May – before appearing on social media.

Our Marketing Manager Joe Randlesome will also be providing the commentary for the thousands of people attending on race day.
