Giving Back This Christmas: Supporting ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’
At Contract Personnel, giving back to our community is something we truly value – especially at Christmas. Each year, our team comes together to support a charitable cause, helping to spread kindness and festive cheer to those who need it most.
In previous years, we’ve proudly donated toys to children in local hospitals. This Christmas, we were delighted to partner with Home Instead Norwich and support their heart-warming Be a Santa to a Senior campaign.
Christmas is a time of warmth, celebration, and togetherness – but for many older adults, it can also be a season when loneliness feels heavier. Some people in our community spend the festive period with limited contact from family or friends, which can make this time of year particularly challenging.
That’s why the Be a Santa to a Senior campaign is so special. It’s a simple but powerful way to bring comfort, connection, and festive cheer to older adults across the area – and this year’s campaign has been filled with generosity, creativity, and true community spirit.
Our team members contributed wholeheartedly to the cause, helping us put together a range of thoughtful gifts. We ordered and donated items such as shower gel gift sets, soaps, biscuits, chocolates, flannels, and more – small comforts designed to bring a smile and remind recipients that they are cared for and appreciated.
A simple gift can have a powerful impact. It can lift someone’s mood during a time that may feel isolating, offer comfort to someone spending Christmas alone, and remind older adults that their community truly values them. It’s not about the size or cost of the gift – it’s about showing someone that they are remembered.
We’re incredibly proud of our team for their generosity and grateful to Home Instead Norwich for the amazing work they do year-round.
Supporting initiatives like Be a Santa to a Senior reflects what Christmas is all about: kindness, compassion, and connection.
