Thetford team donate to foodbank in time for Christmas

A desire to help the local community prompted a donation of essential items to the Thetford Foodbank – in time for Christmas.

The Contract Personnel team, based in Thetford, decided they wanted to help people in need – during the cost of living crisis.

Instead of spending money on their usual Secret Santa idea, the team decided to buy items such as cereal, tinned items and essential goods to donate to the foodbank.

Some of the team then headed to the warehouse, based on Croxton Road, to drop off the items – alongside the Contract Personnel JOB BUS!

Sue Brady, administrator in Thetford, came up with the innovative idea – in time for Christmas!

“We were proud to be able to help the local community with our foodbank donations during the cost of living crisis,” she said.

Contract Personnel are based on Guildhall Street and are always recruiting for roles across Thetford, Mildenhall, Brandon, Bury St Edmunds and across Suffolk.

The team are available 24/7, with new jobs regularly being added to their website.

The Thetford Foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
