Quacklear Scientist Duck Announced For Grand Norwich Race

Ever heard of a Quacklear Scientist duck? You have now…..Introducing our 2024 duck design for the Grand Norwich Duck Race – raising money for Break Charity – on Sept 15.

After previous entries from Contract Personnel including Disco Duck and Wonder Duck, this year we did things a little bit differently.
We offered out ‘Design A Duck’ colouring sheets at the Suffolk and Norfolk Shows and sent out to local primary schools across East Anglia.

We then gathered all of the entries and enlisted the help of the famous ‘Duckorator’ – Sally Adams – who has been designing ducks for the race since 2013.
After a stringent judging process, the winner was eventually decided as the ‘Quacklear Scientist’ – designed by Ethan of Hemblington Primary School.

We have no doubt that our newest duck recruit will be analysing duck speed data and the water tide patterns down the River Wensum as we speak.
Sally said: “I really enjoyed the judging and creating the final design. A very clever design from Ethan.”
