Service Technician – Colchester

Contract Personnel have an exciting opportunity for a new Service Technician to join the existing team at our Colchester branch, based in Essex. You will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural (but not limited to) machinery that is sold by the company’s sales department.

Essential Skills/Experience:

v  Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural machinery and equipment

v  Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using latest software and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs.  

v  Lifting of heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools

v  Proven experience within the Agricultural or Horticultural industry

v  Able to work alone and on your own initiative

v  Excellent customer service skills

v  Full clean driver’s licence

Additional Information

Start Date:                    Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period

Hours:                          39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday

                                       8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Overtime above 39hrs per week will be paid at time and a half

Contract:                       Permanent, Full Time, Hourly paid

Salary:                          £Competitive, depending upon experience plus company vehicle and service incentive scheme
