Production Operative – Window Manufacturing

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting Production Operatives based in the Norwich area. This is an excellent ongoing opportunity that leads to a permanent role.

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Production Operative to assist with the fabrication of windows in a busy manufacturing environment. You will support the production team in assembling, preparing, and finishing a range of window products, ensuring high standards of quality and safety throughout the process.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in the assembly and fabrication of aluminium, uPVC, or timber windows (depending on company products).
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, drill, and assemble window components.
• Fit gaskets, locks, hinges, handles, and other hardware to window frames.
• Check components for quality and accuracy before and after assembly.
• Follow job specifications, technical drawings, and production instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials or finished products as required.
• Any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or window fabrication environment is preferred but not essential – full training provided.
• Good practical skills and confident using hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Able to follow instructions and work to technical specifications.
• Physically fit – able to stand for long periods and lift window components.

Shift pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 15:00 – 00:00
