Role – Production Manager role

Location – Based close to Norwich, Norfolk

Working hours – Monday to Friday – full time hours

Capacity of role – Permanent position

Salary – £27,500 – £32,500 per annum

Our client is prestigious manufacturer in the local area and in their field and they are currently recruiting for an Production Manager to join their team.

Candidates will be an effective communicator and someone who takes responsibilities to ensure that all products are manufactured to company standards ready for instillation and delivered on time and within a full compliment.  

Main duties will be as follows –

  • Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
  • Creating and executing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production schedules
  • To procure factory production equipment when necessary and take responsibility for any maintenance
  • Striving to reduce costs and increase productivity across all product lines
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all factory employees
  • Implementing and monitor the company’s procedures and policies
  • Communicating any issues that may have a cost over budget implication to senior management 
  • Monitoring productivity rates, standards, and quality control to maintain standards
  • Train and coach Factory Operators as necessary  
  • Implementing and maintain the company’s accreditations and certifications
  • Maintaining and liaise with all supply chain partners
  • Chasing and quality control all deliveries as appropriate

Required skills and attributes –

  • Be dynamic, eager to learn and work as part of an energetic and outgoing team
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • Have an eye for detail, a taste for design and a desire to create and succeed
  • Have a willingness to learn, and a flair for problem solving and precision
  • The ability to understand construction methods and the mathematical processes involved
  • The ability to read and understand CAD drawings
  • Be technically minded
  • Have good product knowledge
  • The ability to work to and exceed deadlines
  • Own transport is essential due to the location of the premises
