Laundry Operative

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for Laundry Operatives based in the Fakenham area. Own transport is essential due to site location.

We are seeking hardworking and reliable workers to join our team in a busy laundry environment. You will be responsible for handling, sorting, washing, drying, and finishing laundry items to a high standard. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Sorting & Loading: Sorting dirty laundry by type, colour, or cleaning requirements; loading and unloading industrial washers and dryers.
• Operating Equipment: Using commercial laundry machinery including washers, dryers, folders, and presses (training provided).
• Folding & Packing: Folding, pressing, and preparing clean laundry for dispatch or delivery.
• Quality Control: Inspecting items for cleanliness, damage, or staining; identifying items needing rewash or repair.
• Health & Safety: Following health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times, including safe manual handling and use of PPE.
• General Housekeeping: Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and organised to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a laundry or production environment (preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods and carry out repetitive tasks.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Willingness to work in warm and humid conditions.

Shift pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 – 14:30
• 14:30 – 23:00
