Horticultural Service Technician – Ringmer

Here at Contract Personnel we are currently recruiting for an experienced Horticultural Service Technician to join the existing team at our Ringmer branch, based in East Sussex. Your role will involve reporting to the Service Manager. You will also be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with horticultural machinery sold by the company’s sales departments.

Essential Skills/Experience:

v  Knowledge of domestic and professional garden machinery is advantageous

v  Experience of repairing and maintaining equipment for customers

v  Ability to diagnose fuel and electrical faults and carry out repairs

v  Able to lift heavy machinery, but apply common sense with items that require assistance

v  Completing job cards in full relating to work undertaken

v  Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team

v  Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone

v  Be self-motivated

v  Full clean driver’s licence

Additional Information

Start Date:                    Immediate, but subject to successful candidate’s notice period

Hours:                          39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday

                                    8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch)

                                    Overtime above 39 hours per week will be paid at time and a half

Salary:                          £Competitive, depending upon experience
