Agricultural Service Technician – Fyfield

Here at Contract Personnel I am currently recruiting on behalf of a long established family firm for a Agricultural Service Technician in Fyfield. My client is a family-owned firm that supplies a wide range of machinery from garden mowers and chainsaws to combine harvester and construction excavators as well as selling a huge selection of clothing, footwear, garden sundried and DIY products across 19 country stores.

Role Purpose:
You will be required to report directly to the Service Manager. You will be required to repair and maintain agricultural (but not limited to) equipment that is sold by the Company’s sales departments within its designated area.

Essential Skills/Experience:
• Proven experience within the agricultural and/or horticultural industry would be advantageous
• Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable or warrantable
• Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation
• Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
• Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
• Maintain a good general level of health and fitness Self-motivated
• Competent in the use of computers
• Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
• Valid driving licence with no more than 3 points

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• START DATE: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
• HOURS: 39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday. Sundays or Bank Holidays will be paid at double time
• SALARY: £Competitive, dependent on experience plus company vehicle and mobile phone
