Agricultural Service Technician – Albourne

ontract Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a long established family firm for an experienced Agricultural Service Technician. My client is a family-owned firm that supplies a wide range of machinery; from garden mowers and chainsaws to combine harvesters and construction excavators as well as selling a huge selection of clothing, footwear, garden sundries and DIY products across 19 country stores.
Role Purpose: Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your role will be to repair and maintain agricultural (but not limited to) equipment that is sold by the Company’s sales departments within its designated area.
Essential Skills/Experience:
• Good knowledge of Agricultural or Construction machinery is advantageous
• Proven experience within the agricultural or construction industry would be advantageous
• Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software
• Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team
• Able to work under pressure and to customer demands, including long hours when required
• Ability to adhere to health and safety practice and procedures at all times
• Excellent communication skills
• Competent in the use of computers
• Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
• Full clean driver’s licence
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
START DATE: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
HOURS: 39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday SALARY: £Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle (if mobile Technician)
